Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) of Ignou University Marking Scheme

As explained in the Ignou programme guide for respective course. Assignments carry 30 per cent weightage in a course and it is mandatory that you have to secure at least 40 per cent marks in assignments to complete (passing marks) a course successfully. Note that you have to submit the assignments before appearing in Term End Examination of a course at your study centre.

Points To Note While Making Assignment - Remember:

(i) For each course there is a separate Ignou Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA).

(ii) Students have to do the assignment for those courses for which learner have registered.

(iii) Make Sure  that you have to prepare and submit the assignments separately for each course.

(iv) Do remember you submit the assignments in time for those courses in which you plan to appear in the Term End Examination.

(v) Written Assignments should be submitted to the Coordinator of your Study Centre.

(vi) Don't forget to obtain a receipt from the Study Centre towards assignment submission.

The Last Date of Ignou Assignment Submission 2021:

(a) For July 2020 admission session. Students need to submit the assignments by March 31, 2021 to appear for May/June 2021 Exam. And

(b) For January 2021 admission session. by September 30, 2021 for being eligible to appear in the December 2021 term- end examination.

Assignment is given 30% weightage in the final assessment. To be eligible to appear in the Term-End
Examination, it is compulsory for you to submit the assignments as per the schedule. Before attempting the

These assignments are valid for two admission cycles (January 2019 and July 2019). The validity is
given below:

1. Those who are enrolled in January 2019, it is valid upto December 2019.

Submission
